When I try to run a network license of Prism, InStat, or StatMate I get an error message saying "This publisher cannot be verified. Are you sure you want to run this software?

As odd as it may seem, even though running a network version of Prism, InStat, or StatMate has nothing to do with the Internet, this error message comes from Microsoft Internet Explorer 7. By default IE7 treats any executable not launched from the local computer as being included in the Intranet zone. Here is the way to avoid this message:

1) First, determine the name of the server where the Prism.exe is located.
2) Go to Control Panel/Internet Options and click on the Security tab.
3) Click on the Intranet Icon and click on the Sites button.

4) Uncheck the box that says "Automatically detect Intranet network" and check the other three boxes.

5) Click on the Advanced button.
6) Add file://server where "server" is the name of the server where Prism.exe is located.

7) Set the security setting for the Intranet zone to Low.

8) Click OK and exit the Internet Options dialog.
