Why can't I export my graph in gif format for inclusion on a web site.

The gif format is patented, and it is illegal for any program to create gif files without paying royalties to the patent holder. When we learned this, we took gif export out of Prism. The newer PNG format is better in every way (except compatibility with very old browsers) and we suggest you use it instead.
