Why can't I access Help in Prism?
Prism 3 or Prism 4 for Windows: You ordered online and didn't download and install the optional Help file
You can download the Help file anytime from our Support page. Look in the drop-down box labeled "Download Manuals".
Prism 2 for Windows: Error message about a missing file, d2hlink.dll
After clicking OK to step through this and two additional error messages, the Help window appears normally and works fine. To prevent the error messages from appearing, download this version of d2hlink.dll (8.7 kB) and place it in your C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory.
Prism 2 for Mac: Help is unavailable
- Using the Finder, find these two files in your Extensions folder inside the System folder.
Microsoft Help (about 260K, version 3.5.2)
Help on Help (about 60K, version 1.0) - Move both files into the Help folder inside the Microsoft folder inside the Extensions folder:
- System...
- Extension...
- Microsoft...
- Help
- Check that another file installed by Prism, Microsoft Help Run Time (about 20K, version 4.0) is already in that folder. (The important point is that Microsoft Help and Microsoft Help Run Time are both in the same folder.)
- Restart your computer. You should now be able to use your Prism help file.
