When I create area fills, they don't print correctly, or they don't show when I copy a graph to PowerPoint.

Area fills don't print or export correctly. This seems to be a problem only with Prism 4 and Windows 98 when you create Prism graphs with more than one area fill, and then print (or export) from a layout.
  • The work around is to use a new version of Windows or to print (export) from the graph itself, and not the layout.
Area fills don't show in Prism graphs pasted into PowerPoint. This is a bug in PowerPoint 97. There are several ways to work around this problem:
  • Upgrade to a newer version of PowerPoint.
  • Don't use the one-click send-to-powerpoint button. Instead, copy to the clipboard, switch to PowerPoint, make a new slide, and then use Edit.. Paste Special to paste. Choose "Picture (Enhanced Metafile)" or "Device Independant Bitmap".
  • Export the graph as a tiff (bitmap) file. Then use PowerPoint's Insert..Picture command to include the graph.
Bar fills on column graphs don't print correctly in PowerPoint. This is a problem with PowerPoint 2000. There are a couple of workarounds.
  • Upgrade to a newer version of PowerPoint.
  • Change the setting for how Prism copies and pastes to the clipboard. Choose WMF only or EMF and WMF in Prism's Edit/Preferences/File and Printer menu.
