We have a network license for Prism (or InStat or StatMate). The problem is that the shortcut icons, that launch Prism from individual computers, vanish when someone else logs on that computer. How can I make sure the icons are always shown?

Windows NT, 2000, and XP can have different settings and icons for different users. By default the GraphPad installation programs installs the icons for the user who was logged in at install time. You can change that by moving some files. Look in Documents and Settings folder. You'll find one folder for "owner" or the name of the person who was logged in when you installed Prism. Find the GraphPad folder, and move that to the "All users" folder within Documents and Settings. Move the shortcut (icon) files from "Documents and Setting/[user]/Desktop" to "Documents and Setting/All users/Desktop". As the name suggests, the stuff in "all users" will be visible to anyone who uses the computer. [This is not an issue for single-user licenses as those are always installed into the all-users folders.]
