Troubleshooting freezing while exporting from Prism Mac

Prism uses (and reqires) QuickTime to export (and compress) in JPEG and TIFF format if you choose either monochrome or RGB (256 colors) color model, andto export in PICT format. It  always uses the Cocoa framework to  to export EPS, PDF, PNG and also to export JPG and TIFF files when you choose CMYK, RGB (millions), grayscale color models.

 

Knowing that, you can try different formats and color models and narrow down if the problem in in QuickTime or Cocoa. Once you narrow it down, you can try to reinstall OSX or get help from Apple.
