Trouble installing Prism 5.00 under Windows 7 and Vista (Japanese and Korean versions).

Prism 5 runs fine under Windows 7 and Vista, and looks even better under than with Windows XP.

A few people have had trouble installing Prism 5.00 under Windows 7 or Vista, getting the message "Prism 5 installer has stopped working".

One reason for this is a bug in Japanese and Korean (and maybe others?) versions of Windows 7 and Vista. 

Another reason why this happens, although not on every Vista computer. The first step of the installer lets you change the folder into which Prism will be installed. The problem comes up when you want to install into a folder other than the default, so use the "Change"" button to browse to a different folder. The work arounds are to either accept the default location, or to change location by typing the new location, rather than browsing for it.
 
 The people who make the installer we use have found a way to bypass this bug. Prism 5.01, and all later versions, will install fine with Japanese and Korean Windows 7 and Vista. Write to us with your serial number to update.
