Someone e-mailed me a Prism 3 file done on a Mac. I have a PC, and I can't open the file with Prism 3.
First, make sure that you have the latest version of Prism 3. Releases 3.02 and 3.03 are better at opening troublesome files. Or consider upgrading to the latest version.
Another frequent problem with files e-mailed from a Mac is that the system may "stuff" the file into a compressed format. Or the system may have "binhexed" the file. Or both. Macs don't usually use file extensions (".zip"), so there is no way to know if a file has been compressed or encoded (binhexed). StuffIt Expander is free Windows software that will "unstuff" compressed Mac files and decode binhexed files. You should download it from Aladdin Systems' web site and try running your problem file through.
Finally, it may be that the file was damaged or truncated on route. Ask to have it sent again.
