Oh no! All my Prism files seem to have disappeared from my computer.

What a frightening feeling. You go back to use Prism, and all the files you previously stored are gone. 

This has happened to a couple of our customers. The explanation is simple, and the files are not really gone. Whew!

The "My documents" folder, where most people store their Prism files (or in folders within) is specific to one particular user on the computer. Log in as someone else, and you'll see a different set of documents, or perhaps no Prism files. All you need to do to see your files again is to log out as one user and login as another. 

There is a special case where this can happen in a nonobvious way (using WIndows). If you right click on the Prism icon, and choose "Run as administrator", you'll be switched to an admin account so your files may not be saved into your personal account. When you later run Prism the usual way, all your documents will appear to have vanished.
