My Prism graphs use lots of colors. How can I place them into Word in black and white?

Microsoft Word makes this easy. Follow these steps:

  1. Copy and paste the graph from Prism into Word. It will remain in color.
  2. Click on the graph (within Word) to select it.
  3. Right click on the graph (within Word) and choose Format Object (or Format Picture). You can also choose this command from the format menu.
  4. Go to the Picture tab.
  5. Drop the choices for Color.
  6. Choose either "Black and white" (hi contrast, no gray) or "Grayscale".

These steps work with all recent versions (since Word 97) of Microsoft Word for Windows and Mac.
