My company or institution has a site license for Prism. I've gotten the serial number for renewal but I can't enter it.

You need to be logged on as an administrator to update the renewal serial number for a Prism site license (or expiring license, or lab license). Check to see if you are. Alternatively, aunching Prism by right-clicking on the Prism program icon and choose "Run as an Administrator."
