I tried to install Prism Mac 4.0c (or the demo or updater). It almost finishes the installation, then stops saying "access denied".

Prism itself has been installed, and you may begin to start using it.

Prism had a problem installing the Automator Action for Tiger or Leopard. This probably happened because you installed our first release of this automator action, which mistakenly reset the permssions of the automator folder. You need to reset the permission of that folder back to read&write. You should do that anyway, so other programs can install automator actions in the future.

To change permissions to folder /library/automator do the following:

1. Open folder info dialog (command-i)
2. Expand Details part of the dialog.
3. Click the lock icon near the Owners pop up menu.
4. Choose from that pop the user that is currently logged in.
5. Authentication dialog should appear. Enter PW there. OK.
6. Now you may need to relaunch Finder. Cmd-Option-Esc, choose Finder and relaunch.
7. Select the folder and get info.  Set permission to ReadAndWrite.

Now you can install again, and all components including the automator action will be installed.
