I exported a graph from Prism (ver 4 for Mac OSX) as a "TIF bit map" to a Word document. When I tried to print the document, the image was blank. What's wrong?
Our programmers are convinced that this bug is in Word, not Prism. It appears to be Mac specific.
It seems that Word cannot handle large TIF files properly. The best solution is to copy and paste into Prism (which uses the PICT format), rather than exporting and then inserting a TIF file. Other solutions are to reduce the size of the graph before exporting to TIF, or to use a lower resolution (dpi). If your journal wants you to submit high-resolution TIF files for publication, export these files directly from Prism, bypassing Word.
