How to share your screen with us using Join Me.

Sometimes the easiest way for us to help you get started with Prism is to take over your computer (for a minute) with a screen sharing session. To do this, follow these steps.

  1. Point your browser to www.join.me
  2. Click the orange button to start a meeting. You don't need to scroll the page, the button appears near the top of the page, but it sometimes take a few seconds to appear.
  3. If you have used join.me before on your computer, skip to step 5.
  4. If you are using join.me for the first time on this computer:
Mac: A file called join.me.zip will automatically download. Unzip that file, and run the application within (join.me.app) by double clicking on it.
Windows: You will be asked if it ok to run the application named join.me. Click "Run" to begin.
  5. You'll see a small window that includes a session id (three sets of three digit numbers).
    WIN:   Mac:
  6. Email us the session id, and we will be able to connect to your computer. For the Mac example above, send us "564-009-014". But the digits you see will be different than these.
  7. We will then use join.me to connect to your computer. You'll see a confirmation window:
  8. Click "Allow" and we'll be able to control your computer.
  9. You'll also see a chat window where we can message with you.
  10. When we are done, we will log off and you will see a message "control is no longer shared".
  11. Close the join.me window by:
Mac: Click the red close button in the upper left of the tiny join.me window shown in step 5.
Windows: Click the red X in the upper right of the tiny join.me window.
  12. You will be asked to confirm. Click "exit".
