How do I write a literature citation for an analysis done using GraphPad software, or using a QuickCalc on graphpad.com?
Prism, InStat or Statmate:
Include the name of the analysis and the program version number (including the second number after the decimal point). Use this example as a guide:
"One-way ANOVA with Dunnett's post test was performed using GraphPad Prism version 6.04 for Windows, GraphPad Software, www.graphpad.com".
Web page:
Include the name of the page, the date you accessed it and the URL. Use this example as a guide:
"What you can conclude when two error bars overlap (or don't)?" GraphPad Software, Inc. Accessed 5 November 2014. http://www.graphpad.com/faq/viewfaq.cfm?faq=1362
Curve fitting book:
The "Fitting Models..." book that comes with Prism 4 is also published as a text by Oxford University Press, so you can cite that book as:
Harvey Motulsky and Arthur Christopoulos, Fitting Models to Biological Data using Linear and Nonlinear Regression. A Practical Guide to Curve Fitting. , Oxford University Press, New York, 2004. ISBN: 0195171802.
QuickCalc free web calculator:
Include the name of the calculator and the date you used it. Here is an example:
Confidence intervals of proportions were calculated using the GraphPad QuickCalcs Web site: http://www.graphpad.com/quickcalcs/ConfInterval1.cfm (accessed November 2010).
