Graphs with row titles next to data points seem to resize themselves and behave strangely.
Prism (up to versions 5.02 and 5.0b) gets confused when data points are far beyond the range of the axes, and you request that row titles be placed next to the points. Prism is smart enough not to plot the data points, but it tries to plot the row labels anyway, and tries to leave space for them.
This bug has three effects:
- Working with the graph can be frustrating, as the graph doesn't seem to stay put.
- Prism leaves a huge margin around the graph when it is placed on a layout.
- Prism leaves a huge margin around the graph when it exports the graph as a picture, or sends the graph to PowerPoint or Word.
To work around this problem, do one of the following:
- Delete or exclude the points that have X or Y values off scale.
- Uncheck the option on Format Graph to label each point with its row label.
This has been fixed in 5.03 and 5.0c.
