Creating a Gannt chart with GraphPad Prism

Gannt charts are used to display the projected/planned times when various parts of a project will be completed. Prism is designed to plot scientific data, not to plan projects, so doesn't have any special tools for Gannt charts. if you make a lot of them, you'll want to find a specialized tool for that purpose. But if you need to occasionally create a Gannt chart as part of a grant application to show how the various phases of a project are planned, you can make a crude Gannt chart as a high low column graph.

Here is the Prism file which you can adapt.  The starting and ending values (numbers) are placed into two rows of a column data table. The graph is a high-low plot, with no line at the mean or median. The middle tab of Format Graph was used to place extra space and a line between two two subprojects.
