Creating a funnel plot with GraphPad Prism.
A funnel plot is used as part of a metaanalysis to combine results from many studies. The shape of the funnel plot can give hints to missing values -- studies that were never published due to publication bias (scientists and editors prefer to publish studies that find a statistically significant effect). Learn about funnel plots at The Cochrane Project. Be sure to look at the linked pdf primer, as well as other linked pages. Here is another good primer.
Prism has no special tools to create funnel plots, but fundamentally they are just XY graphs. If you can compute or find the X and Y for each study you want to include on the graph, Prism can plot it with no trouble. Prism can also add grid lines at specified points along the axis. You'll find the choices for this at the bottom of the Format Axis dialog.
Interpreting funnel plots is usually done informally, just by looking. Prism offers no tools to analyze a funnel plot.
