Bug: Symbol font doesn't work in legends with Prism Mac 6.0a

There are two ways to add special symbols to text in Prism.

  • Drop down (click the Alpha button) a menu of commonly used characters. This includes Greek letters and common math symbols. It works fine.
  • Copy and paste from another program. Or switch to the Symbol font. If you are in the Symbol font and type the letter A, you expect to see the Greek letter alpha.

The second method listed above does not work in graph legends with Prism Mac 6.0a. The workaround is to create an independent text object (the "T" tool). With text entered into text objects, the Symbol font works fine. The problem is only with graph legends that identify data sets.

We fixed in 6.0c.
