Bug: JPG files exported from Prism Mac appear with incorrect colors when viewed with a different program.

This appears to probably be a bug in OSX  10.5 (Leopard) and 10.6 (Snow Leopard). JPEG files that use CMYK colors will often display with the wrong colors. Sometimes they appear entirely black.

Two workarounds:

  • Export using a different format (perhaps TIFF).
  • Keep exporting in JPEG, but use RGB colors rather than CMYK colors (you can choose in Prism's export dialog). The mac bug is only with CMYK colors.
