After copying data from Prism, which decimal separator (comma or period) is used when the data are pasted?

WIndows

When you copy values from a Prism Windows (up to 5.01) data (or results) table, the use of comma or period as decimal separator depends on how many values you copy at once and where you copy them from.

  • If you copy a block of data, Prism uses the setting in its own control panel (File and Printer tab). Although the label for that setting says "export", it also applies when a block of data are copied to the clipboard.
  • if you copy a single value from a results table. that same setting applies.
  • If a single value is copied from the data table (cell is in edit mode), the decimal separator is always a period. The Windows regional control panel and Prism's Preferences are ignored.
  • If a value (or several values) is copied from results, and system Regional Control Panel separator is set to comma, the value(s) is copied to the Clipboard according to the setting in Prism's preference dialog (Preferences > File & Printer > Decimal Separator When Exporting)".otherwise period used as separator.

Mac
