After installing InStat Windows, it works fine for me. But when others log on to the same computer, there are no icons to launch InStat.

WIndows keeps separate sets of icons (shortcuts) for each user, and another set for all users.

It is easy to make new icons. Just find the instat.exe program, and right-click drag onto the desktop (or to the start menu). WHen you let go, you'll have a choice of moving, copying, or creating a shortcut. Choose the latter.

If each student logs in with a separate user name, you'll want to put the icons into the "all users" folder. I am not sure of the details for Windows 2000. For XP, the shortcut icons go into

C:\Documents and settings\all users\start menu and C:\Documents and settings\all users\desktop
