Activation won't complete. Error code 14. Or serial number said to expire.
This FAQ concerns three related problems.
- Problem: After entering a valid serial number, Prism displays "Error code 14" and won't launch.
- Problem: Prism won't launch because it says your Prism serial number has expired (but it hasn't).
- Problem: Your Prism log file (see how to create one) includes the line: Batch License not found. Error code is 57.
The error messages are most likely caused by changes to the system calendar/clock.
Prism 6.07 can fix this problem on its own. If you use an earlier release of Prism 6, please update.
The solution is to have your IT personal contact us with your Prism serial number. We will then provide detailed instructions on how to repair. The fix involves editing your computer's registry, which should only be done by a knowledgeable IT person.
