What's new in GraphPad Prism 7.01 Windows?

Prism 7.01 was released on June 15, 2016.

Important fixes

• Multiple fixes to improve Prism when run on computers with high resolution displays, especially when the magnification is set to more than 200%. 
• Fixed bug in Grubbs' test. When you set alpha to 5% so the critical P value is 0.05, Prism 7.00 actually used a critical P value of 0.025. So it sometimes missed an outlier. This was true for any value of alpha you entered; it actually used alpha half of that. Fixed in 7.01. It was correct in Prism 6. 
• Revised the equation for the Log(Normal) equation, with new Help page.
• Relative cumulative Frequency Distribution is now calculated incorrectly when data entered as mean, SE/SD, and N.
• Files created with Prism 6 including box & whiskers graph that also showed every point sometimes crashed when opened on Prism 7.

Other fixes

• Allow horizontal scrolling using the mouse wheel.
• Feature to add shading between additional ticks or grid lines didn't work.
• EPS file exported from Prism using Windows 10 could not be opened if they contained special symbols.
• If you double click on an OLE object embedded in Word or PowerPoint by a prior version of Prism, it will now open with Prism 7 (even if older Prism versions are still installed on the computer). Details. 
• When opening files created by Prism 6, legends for XY graphs showing line and symbol had the line over the symbol. Now the line goes under, as it should.
• Faster flipping between sheets, especially when graphs or layouts include images.
• Fixed bug when line was on top of symbol in legend, rather than underneath.
• Allows silent activation from viewer mode.
• All elements on newly created graphs appear invisible (transparent) after upgrading to Prism 7 if any custom color scheme was used in Prism 6.
• Borders of bar graphs now are inside the bars, to avoid showing the bar (with border) with to a too-high Y value.
• XY graphs from XY tables with no X values (so row numbers were used as X) only showed one data set.
• Couldn't move the 'Total' object in Parts of whole graph
• Heat maps. Fixed problems with categorical heat maps with only two categories, and with the legends for double gradient heat maps.
• XY graphs with legends with long lines now appear ok (before the line overlapped the text).
• The border of bar graphs is now entirely placed inside the bar. Until now, the border was half inside and half outside. With thick borders, this meant the visible height of the bar could be too high, so was a bit misleading.
• We updated the module used to export to pdf and eps formats. This should fix some bugs in those parts of the program.
• Help button now works in the Wand dialog.
• Some objects turned white when a file saved in Prism 7 was opened with Prism 6.

Fixes in installation and activation

• Fixed the problem with systems with many network adapters (or virtual adapters) which confused Prism 7.00, which wouldn't even start.
• Several PCs generated the exact same machine ID. 
• Prism froze on launch if access to network is configured through a proxy server that requires authentication in 32-bit OSs.
• Clarified error message if unable to launch Prism 7 because it cannot update the license file.
• Default installation folder was incorrect when Prism was installed with deleting previous major version.
